Less Art, More Sand.
So last year for vacation we went to London. And it was extraordinary. The history. The culture. The castles. The beauty. We left having fallen in love with one of the world's truly great cities.
This year's vacation? Was a little less...significant. We went to Mexico. And sat on the beach. A lot. Sometimes we walked on the beach. Sometimes we got in the pool. But mostly we were two lumps on the sand. And it could not have been more enjoyable.
We stayed at the Iberostar Tucan in Playa del Carmen which is located about 45 minutes south of Cancun. The resort was gorgeous as was the aforementioned beach.
It all looked something like this:
The housekeeping staff would leave "towel creatures" in our room:
The resort was built around a tropical forest and there were wild creatures all over the place.

We don't know quite what these were but they were very fun to watch and reminded us of our dog:
